Welcome to ASPAC2018!

Our annual ASPAC conference will be hosted by the National Taiwan Science Education Centre in Taipei, from 5 to 8 September 2018.  The conference is purposely timed for participants to not just attend the gathering to share, learn, and network with one another, but also to enjoy the newly renovated NTSEC with a major makeover targeted to complete by the end of August.

The conference is cleverly themed as ‘Innovative Science Cuisine’, reflecting the culture and warmth of Taiwan where thoughtful food preparation to welcome beloved and respected friends and guests is a rich tradition.  The conference programs will be literally filled with intriguing food for thoughts along with real sampling of traditional Taiwanese cuisines.

Like how Chinese cuisines are enjoyed through the sensual engagement with the food colour, aroma, and taste, the conference will see innovative sessions with exciting courses that will unleash the hidden potential in every participant as a creative chef, a skilful kitchen assistant, a menu planner, or a food critic.  Together we shall cook up a storm and serve one another innovative dishes that will nourish us for our science centre and museum professional growth and development.

A truly wonderful banquet awaits us in Taipei, and I look forward to meeting many old friends and making new friends as we gather around the tables laid out by NTSEC and renew our fellowship!
