Layered MoS2 is considered as one of the most promising two-dimensional photocatalytic materials for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER). However, the ative site structure at the few layers transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) are so far insufficiently resolved. This work combined several SPM observations to understand the surface and material science of energy catalyst, including atomic force microscopy (AFM), Kevin probe force microscopy (KPFM), scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) and scanning electrochemical cell microscopy (SECCM). Incombination with additional characterization methods, we deduce a band stucture of different heterojuction for HER mapping.
