The pseudodistribution method is a short distance factorization (SDF) approach to extracting parton distribution functions (PDFs) from lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD). In this talk I will discuss the methodology behind pseudodistributions, and present the calculation of matching relations connecting gluon PDFs to gluon Ioffe-time pseudodistributions (pseudo-ITDs). Then, I will present the results of a preliminary lattice extraction of the gluon PDF for the nucleon.
