The resource transitivity problem asks whether a collection of reduced states that are resourceful is compatible only with global states that are also resourceful in the target subsystem. The resource transitivity of any set of marginal states can be certified by solving a simple optimization program using an appropriate resource witness. Here we discuss some illustrative examples of resource transitivity for teleportation and dense coding.
