News & Highlights

  • [2020-09-01] The early bird registration extends to September 10th and the registration system will end after September 20nd.
  • [2020-07-09] Participating AP-CCN virtually: Several months ago, we decided to postpone the AP-CCN from April to September with a hope that COVID-19 pandemic can be contained by September. Although the pandemic seems to significantly slow down in the Asia Pacific region, we do not expect that the international travels will be back to its normal condition in the near future. Therefore, we decide to provide an online option to people who reside outside Taiwan so that they can participate in the conference virtually. Poster or oral presenters can also present their work online. We understand that the pandemic makes a profound impact on how scientists communicate and interact, but we strive to provide the best meeting experience for all of you, no matter whether you participate in the conference online or onsite. We will announce the details about the online option including the reduced registration fee soon. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@ap-ccn.org

  • [2020-03-12] New conference dates: The organization committee has decided that the AP-CCN conference will be postponed to September 26th-27th, 2020. The abstract submission will be re-opened for the period of June 1st-30th, 2020 and the conference registration is opened between August 1st-August 31st.
  • [2020-03-12] Abstract submission: We encourage people who were not able to submit abstracts previously to submit abstracts in the new submission period (June 1st - June 30th). People who already submitted abstracts and were accepted for presentation do not need to take any action, and we expect your participation in the new conference dates. If you need to make any changes to the abstracts or withdraw your abstracts due to inability to participate in the conference, please email to info@ap-ccn.org. Please visit Registration and Abstract Submission pages for detail.
  • [2020-03-09] Conference Postponed: Due to the recent development of the COVID-19 epidemic in the Aisa-Pacific region, the organization committee has decided to postpone the conference to the later half of this year. The exact new conference dates and registration period will be announce within one week.
  • [2020-03-09] Changes in payment, registration and abstracts: If you are not able to come to the conference due to the postponement, you can retract the abstracts and receive a full refund of the registration fee if you have registered. We will provide information on how to do so within one week.
  • [2020-02-25] Due to the uncertainty about the conference dates, the current registration deadline, March 9th, is cancelled. The new registration deadline will be announced together with the conference dates on March 9th, 2020.
  • [2020-02-24] [Important] Due to the rapid COVID-19 epidemic development in the east Asian regions, we would like to ask all conference participants to hold back on the travel arrangement (flights, hotel, etc). The conference organizers are evaluating the situation and considering several options including postponing the conference. We will make an official announcement on March 9th, 2020. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@ap-ccn.org.
  • [2020-02-13] Please visit the Taiwan CDC website to check the situation of COVID-19 epidemic in Taiwan. (English) (中文)
  • [2020-02-11] About the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic: The COVID-19 coronavirus (Wuhan coronavirus, or Novel coronavirus pneumonia) epidemic is developing but still under control in Taiwan. There are 18 confirmed cases so far and all cases are minor. Therefore, right now we do not have any plan to cancel or postpone this conference. Please note that all attendees should prepare the masks by themselves. However, we can not rule out this possibility if serious outbreaks occur in Taiwan or international travels between Taiwan and other countries become strongly restricted. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates on the conference website, facebook page and twitter.

  • [2020-02-04] All the reviewers made the final decisions on all submitted abstracts. The notification e-mail was sent to every author.
  • [2020-01-10] [Important] The online registration time is changed to 2020/02/10 00:00:00 ~ 2020/03/09 23:59:59 (UTC+8, Taipei time).
  • [2019-12-25] The conference poster is updated, adding the information for two invited speakers. Welcome to download it.
  • [2019-12-12] [Important] The deadline of the abstract submission is postponed to 2019/12/30 23:59:59 (UTC+8, Taipei time).

The 1st Asia-Pacific Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience (AP-CCN) Conference

Computational neuroscience has advanced rapidly in recent years owning to the availability of the sheer amount of neural recordings and connectomic data. It is the perfect time for developing a collaborative forum that promotes research in computational neuroscience in the Asia-Pacific area. After a thorough discussion among several researchers from different Asia countries, we (the organization committee) decided to host the first Asia-Pacific Computational and Congnitive Neuroscience (AP-CCN) conference. The mission of the AP-CCN Conference is to promote computational neuroscience, and to facilitate interactions and collaborations between theoreticians and experimentalists.
