Comparative study of the grain boundaries in CZTS and CIGS photovoltaic thin films using scanning probe microscopy
Chunlei Yang
The efficiency of CZTS solar cells is still not so high compared with other thin films such as CIGS. The underlying mechanism for the difference is a long-standing question that has remained elusive [1] in spite of tremendous research efforts in the past.

What Happens to Those Phonons?: A Physical Model of Energy Transfer for Conventional and Hot-Carrier Solar Cells
Chin-Yi Tsai
A theoretical framework and formulation is developed and presented for the energy transfer processes between photons, electrons, holes, optical phonons, and acoustic phonons in conventional and hot-carrier solar cells. This physical model includes the interband and intraband quantum processes of carrier-photon, carrier-carrier, carrier-phonon, and phonon-phonon interactions.

All Vacuum Deposited Perovskite Devices and Perovskite Light Emitting Nanocrystals
Chien-Yu Chen;Shu-Wen Dai;Bo-Wei Hsu;Lin Yang;Wei-Lun Tsai;Hao-Wu Lin
This presentation summarizes our recent works in perovskite thin films and devices. We developed all vacuum process for perovskite solar cells and various optoelectronic devices. We also developed a novel spray synthesis method for fabricating highly emissive perovskite nanocrystals for display and quantum optics applications.

Performance of a Highly Efficient Organic Photovoltaic under Sunlight and Indoor light
Anindya Sundar Jana
Here, we have fabricated an highly efficient organic photovoltaic device with novel donor/acceptor molecules and a structurally modified anode layer to study its performance in-depth under sunlight and indoor light. The device not only demonstrates effective harvesting of indoor lights but also paves a path for fabricating an ITO-free OPV
