Versammeln Pottery Workshop

You don’t have to go to Yingge to learn about ceramic arts. A tranquil pottery workshop awaits you with tasty desserts and tea and invites you to create ceramic arts at bustling Ximending in Taipei City. The charm of ceramic arts lies in its plain yet delicate handmade texture, and doing it yourself is fundamental. The core of ceramic arts is to allow participants to feel in real time with their sense of touch and to be inspired when playing with clay, which is the essence of “handfeel.”

Versammeln Pottery Workshop is a creative place for ceramic arts, paintings, calligraphy, and metal work. Well-designed courses and DIY pottery classes are offered, and self-created ceramics, works by well-known masters, antique porcelains, and precious artworks are on display and for sale. Coffee and tea served at the workshop are well selected to match the self-created utensils and coffee/tea set. Homemade exquisite desserts and light food are served daily. Bonsai is placed in the workshop, echoing lush trees in the park across the street. Versammeln Pottery Workshop is a quiet space for recreation, hard to come by at bustling Ximending.

EXHIBITION INFORMATION:

At HoHoArts, performance art takes place every day. In this exhibition, we authentically recreate this experience.

Many works in progress will also be featured in this exhibition. Among the various artists, we see the interactions of styles and skills. Sometimes, their interactions even extend beyond their works and leave impressions in the artists’ lives. This is also how their stories became woven together. Therefore, presenting this valuable emotional interaction among people is also a focus in this exhibition.

In this first exhibition at Versammeln Pottery Studio, more than 30 people will have the opportunity to experience vibrant ceramic art. (The number of positions available is subject to change based on the kiln unloading hours of the week.)
