Founded in 2011, mad L Art Space is located at south Dihua Street in a Japan-style buildings built in 1929. Featuring contemporary crafts of new-generation young artists, madL hopes to generate new interpretation from the public through young creators’ analysis of contemporary crafts.

madL Art Space holds contemporary craft exhibitions, organizes craft-oriented market as well as pottery, weaving, and dyeing workshops, and publishes journals of fiber DIY, aiming to promote contemporary crafts in Twatutia and express new life aesthetics. It hopes to pique people’s interest in and familiarize them with contemporary art so that new values will be created, people will identify with art, and the link between art and life will be strengthened.

The “Ceramics & Textile” brings together two artists - ceramic artist Jhan Jhih-hong and fiber artist ZÖLD - for a joint exhibition of two distinctive materials. These two artists, in one place, connects their imaginations of the past and the future. During the exhibition, the artists will host two weekend workshops for participants to exercise their imagination and create their own everyday objects.
