EXHIBITION INFORMATION:

Intangible thoughts materialize through the work of hands as tangible objects, striking a balance between the two states. As artists shift their focus, their works take different forms:

Lian Yu-pei focuses her art on animals, exploring animals’ right to life that is sacrificed in people’s pursuit of fashion. People’s material pursuits have made drastic changes to the environment and altered the habitats of many species, such as polar bears and chameleons. She also portrays animals in human clothing, adding humor through anthropomorphism.

Huang Chun-cheng focuses on the development of the environment in which he lives. He uses the natural colors of Linkou red clay and other clays. While each clay has its own properties, merging them without breaking apart has allowed him to convey the beauty of coexistence.

You Ya-rong combines organic forms with repetitive patterns to create intriguing tabletop sceneries. With imagination of the form on the part of the viewer, the series of works feel more substantial.
