A multipath interference free VLC system based on Gold sequence multiplexing
Jhih-Heng Yan;Ya-Jou Cheng;Kai-Hsiang Lin;De-Hua Chen;Chien-Ju Chen;Kai-Ming Feng

We experimentally demonstrate a multi-LED VLC system with low complexity Gold sequence multiplexed OFDM signals. Without time synchronization or uplink feedback mechanism, the received signal qualities are uniform and ubiquitously isolated from wireless multipath interferences.

A 52.5-m/5-Gbps 16-QAM-OFDM GI-POF UWLT Convergence
Chung-Wei Su;You-Ruei Wu;Yong-Nian Chen;Zhen-Han Wang;Chung-Yi Li;Hai-Han Lu

A 52.5-m/5-Gbps 16-QAM-OFDM graded-index plastic optical fiber (GI-POF) underwater wireless laser transmission convergence is practically demonstrated with the assistance of afocal scheme for reducing collimated beam diameter. Acceptable bit error rate and constellation map are acquired over a 50-m GI-POF transport with a 2.5-m underwater link.

Gain Enhancement of Broadband Single-Mode Cr-Doped Fiber Amplifier Adopting Thermal Annealing Technique
Jhuo-Wei Li;Kai-Chieh Chang;Chun-Nien Liu;Sheng-Lung Huang;Wood-Hi Cheng

We demonstrate a 7.1-dB gross gain and a 5.1-dB net gain of 300-nm broadband single-mode Cr-doped crystalline core fiber (SMCDCCF) employing thermal annealing technique. The SMCDCCF was significantly enhanced the Cr4+-ions about 2.5 times compared without annealing process, which was verified by the SQUID.

Microwave Spectral Characteristics of the Three-Section Distribute Feedback Laser
Shih Shuang-Yun;Lin Chien-Chung

Abstract: The three-section DFB lasers are used for RF signal generation. With an extra section, it can tune the RF peak frequency farther than the two-section one, and can also simultaneously generate two single-mode RF signals.

SOMNATH CHANDRA
Performance of DMT Transmission using Kramers - Kronig Receivers with Digital Back Propagation and OPC
SOMNATH CHANDRA

In this paper, we presented DMT transmission performance of Kramers-Kronig Direct Detection Receivers with Optical Phase Conjugation and Digital Back Propagation. The system performance in terms of nonlinearity tolerance is improved by an average of 1.2dB for PM-16 QAM/QPSK based 112Gb/s DMT transmission for a distance upto 200km.
