Theme of ASPAC 2018: Innovative Science Cuisine

The theme of the annual meeting is "Innovative Science Cuisine." People are passionate about food and food is a big part of culture.  From food preparation processes which involve physical and chemical reactions is an inspiring and effective way to explain scientific theories can greatly evoke the interest of the general public in studying science. In this conference, we will have actual food as our take-off point but we are also extending that literal meaning of “cuisine” into its metaphorical meaning to further promote science popularization. This is because we all know that in order to attract visitors to come to the museums and stimulate their interest in learning, science centers have to prepare innovative and creative “science cuisine”  in the form of  exhibits and educational activities as well as the use of hi-tech devices, hands-on activities, or melding it with art, hoping to provide an inspiring and memorable learning experience to all who come to our centers.
