Process for Hosting SRI 2021

International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation Instrumentation (SRI) is a successful conference series continuing for over 30 years, organized by the community of worldwide synchrotron radiation (SR) and X-ray free electron laser (XFEL) facilities. The current conference in 2018 is hosted by the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) from June 10 to 15 in Taipei.

The next conference in this triennial series will take place in 2021. Light Source facilities interested in hosting SRI 2021 should email a Letter of Intent to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Chair of SRI 2018 (email: djhuang@nsrrc.org.tw), stating their interests to develop a comprehensive proposal to host the Conference in 2021.

The proposal for SRI 2021 should be submitted to the SRI 2018 LOC Chair before May 31, 2018. The facility representative (typically the Facility Director or his/her designee) of each proposal will make a 10-15 minute presentation of their proposal to the SRI International Advisory Committee (IAC) at the IAC Dinner on Wednesday, June 13. The IAC will select the host of SRI 2021.

The winning proposal will be announced at the closing session of the SRI 2018 on Friday, June 15. A 10-min presentation will be given by the host facility to welcome the community to the next Conference.
